These guys are bad news and as unethical as hell. They tried the bait and switch move and now face an investigation by NJ Division of Consumer's Affairs.

There are lots of ethical Volvo dealers in north Jersey. Stay away from this one.

The people who own and run the place are very honest and dedicated to putting you in a safe reliable vehicle for a good price. Comments: I knew i was in for a treat when the receptionist wouldn't even give me the time of day. Everyone at the place was rude and unhelpful. Service dept. was by far the worst and most unhelpful in addition to being the most condisending group of people i've ever met. STAY AWAY

They're an independent shop which specializes in sales and service of Volvo and Saab, and other European brands too. Visiting is like going to a Volvo dealership where I can actually afford to buy the cars. The service area is modern and has all the electronics and software needed to fix anything. The waiting area is nicer then my living room. The staff is friendly and competent.

I bought the XC70 and have been very satisfied with the car and the customer service experience.

I would highly reccomend them to anyone, Gerry MacDonald & our internet salesman John Byard, they were the best.

Recently, due to tough economic times, Volvo and Mazda were tanking and to save the brands, they moved in together, creating a nightmare IMO, called Palisades Volvo & Palisades Mazda. They still and will continue to operate as two separate dealerships, but under one roof. Nothing new for these guys, but certainly a step back. They do have one thing in common however, being dumped by Ford. The merger consisted of Volvo Sales Reps Remaining and Mazda Service Reps Remaining, all other personnel were let go (meaning Volvo Service and Mazda Sales). I'm not keen of this merger but if thats what it takes to turn a profit, so be it, as long as they're still around. They do however have good ties with Volvo Cars of North America, just a few miles away in Rockleigh, NJ.

Comments: Extraordinary service done to my car when it died while I was on a trip. They had to replace the engine and did so professionally. they were also helpful in trying to understand what caused the failure (serp belt failure, due to an alignment problem with the various pulleys). Although they are 300 miles away I am considering finding ways to have my car serviced there because they are far more trustworthy than the dealer (who at this time, shall remain nameless)who messed up my car.

Comments: Be extremely cautious dealing with this service department. I went there with out-of-state plates on my car, and the total on the repair/service bill was 50% higher than the verbal estimate they gave me. They also tried to use scare tactics to sell me additional services that my car did NOT need. I had it carefully inspected by my normal mechanic before I set out on my road trip, so I KNEW the car didn't need brake work, but to hear Majestic's service writer tell me about it, I was in immediate danger of crashing into something if I didn't have $700 worth of brake work performed immediately. I went ahead and pair the inflated service bill, since I needed my car back immediately and I didn't have the time to hassle with them over the $100, but I'll never go back again.

They had to replace the front driver side gfx as it was missing when I purchased the car. It took 3 weeks to get a the part in and they graciouly offered to pick my car up and leave me a loaner. Only problem was when the car was returned passenger side front gfx was scratched and chipped and they put the wrong color mats in. I had ordered the mats that match my Gobi interior and they put black mats in. They are taking care of it and apologized but not what I would have expected from a higher end service department. Now I'm worried about what else they did to my car to trash the gfx as they did.... I have a 6year 100k warranty but I'm a little worried based on my first experience with this shop.
