Thread

https://volvospeed.com/index.php?app=forums&module=forums&controller=topic&id=165933

OK, so we now have a Southeast Region forum! Have any of you guys met up before? What has worked and what hasn't? I know some have met before at IKEA for a gathering, we could also meet at the Varsity or find a random Sonic in an agreeable location for everyone. Or plan out some kind of scenic drive and cruise around. I think at first it would be cool to have an informal meet where we can park, show our cars and chat for as long as people want without getting kicked out.

A few other events I have heard of are the Atlanta Motorama on April 26 & 27th and Caffeine and Octane in Alpharetta, and the C30 guys are doing a Tail of the Dragon thing here soon. I unfortunately won't be able to make the Motorama, but I do plan on going to the next Caffeine and Octane on Sunday April 6th. Let's hear some ideas and/ or dates and we'll see what everyone thinks.

Since the first GA / ATL thread wasn't really in the best place, and it would be cool to have ONE thread we can follow to stay in touch, introduce (or re-introduce) yourself and let us know what area you live in and, what you're driving.

Again - I'm John, I have a 98 V70 T5M, and I live on the Northwest side of Atlanta.

On October 1st we will be having our first annual (yes Annual) car camping event.
It is basically a meet and greet, with camping, canoeing, grilling, having fun, telling stories, bs'ing, parts trading, enjoying ourselves and having some fun, event. :D

	Site information -
Blue Springs Park
7450 NE 60th St, High Springs, Florida 32643
Saturday, October 1 at 10:00 AM

With that said, campsites are filling up quickly so I advise you to book now as more then a few people already have.
Each campsite has a MAX of 2 cars and 2 tents, that means you can book a site with someone if you dont want to be alone, or just want to split the costs with someone.
There are power and water hook ups in each site, aswell as a bathroom and showers located close by depending on the site you book.

We will have some raffle prizes, a bon fire (well as big as we can have it in a campsite anyways), central camp site where we can meet, and many other things during the weekend.
Some will be coming in Friday night, others Saturday night, and if you cannot stay a night its ok.

Additional information will be pushed as it comes.

To stay up to date with this event I ask that you like the FloridaVolvoCommunity facebook page or Subscribe to the monthly news letters.
Please RSVP in the Event page on Facebook, you can book your camp site by visiting here.
