troyhyde Posted August 22, 2008 Report Share Posted August 22, 2008 heatshields - prevent heat from reaching the intake charge side of the turbocharger = cooler temps = less timing pull = better performanceheatshields - contain heat in the turbine exhaust side/turbocharger/exhaust manifold - hotter temps there = faster exhaust flow = better turbo response = better performanceheatshields - remove the greatest contributor of heat from the engine bay = less heat soakheatshields = goodnow go put yours back on and put your airguides back on......
