Everything but the vac lines came in. Both pigtails had red/black wire so that made things easy.

No pictures yet (I took a lot) though I'll wait until I replace the vacuum lines to post up the full DIY post.

A couple of notes though:

The small clip holding the little piece of foam on has to come off. It's harder than it looks. I ended up using a really small precision flat head screwdriver to push away the small 2 tabs that grab onto the vac nipple so they no longer stopped the metal clamp from sliding off the nipple.

Also, my wife's 99's vac lines were literally crumbling apart. Even after removing the green clips holding the stock lines to the stock solenoid, The vac lines wouldn't simply slip off as they should. When I pulled on them to remove them, 2 of them just snapped and ripped apart. So yeah, vac line replacement I think ought to be manditory in this guys. FedEx tracking says they're out on the truck for delivery so they'll get swapped out before the day is over.

I have it hooked up though and drove around for about 20 minutes last night trying my best to adhere to the IPD instructions.

Initial impressions: though I know the car needs samco hoses VERY bad, the turbo does in fact build boost a little quicker, much more linear and consistent increase and though I have no boost gauge to tell me exactly how much the engine is getting, however much it IS getting, it's getting a steady amount. Boost was hit or miss before. Somtimes the car would get on up and go and other times it'd just slooooooowly start to pull. Very inconsistent.

Anyways so after driving around a little bit doing a lot of stop and go, low boost acceleration, mild boost acceleration, etc, I opened it up on a big long back road outside our neighborhood (it's my "test and tune" road hahhaah) but I like what I feel and though I'm not that familiar with the car's boost building habits like she is, just from my experience doing WOT driving in it, it does feel stronger and the boost does feel as though it is introduced quickly (though not as quick as mine does) and steadily and consistently and holds it all through 1st, 2nd and into 3rd. I did a couple of 0- 3rd gear pulls and both times it was rock solid steady holding.

I actually pulled the small clip holding the foam apart, wide enough to accept the Volvo factory vac hose that goes to the intake. Think of it as a built-in clamp, lol.

Also, I did not bother pulling the vac hoses off the Volvo solenoid, I just cut them off with a pair of scissors. I'll have some pics up shortly as well. I installed the 2nd solenoid on the '98 T5 this morning.

An alternate way to mount the Delco solenoid at the factory location if you can scrounge up

some scrap hardware(the clip for the foam filter widened to accept the post-MAF intake vac hose):

Should be able to get all the connecters you need from any salvage yard. IT is a common GM connector. Chop off the factory volvo one and splice in the Female GM piece. I go to the local pullapart sometimes and just get connectors. Whatever looks good. Have a box full of them. They come in handy for everything. I am such a packrat. Bought a complet Grand Prix GTP blower the other day from the pullapart for a whopping $10 bucks. None of the employees knew what it was. Told em it was the upper intake from a v6 pontiac.
