my motor is knocking and I really want to just drop a brand new motor from myswedishparts.com into my car. the car runs fine (just knocks), drives fine, the knocking just drives me nuts. i have tryed everything without opening the engine, which if i were to open i would just bring it to a shop to rebuild it. weighing the cost vs. benefits, what should i do? by the way, for the T5M not the NA

metal knocking inside the head like if you took a hammer and tapped the valve cover except inside the head

if i was going to pay to have a motor built i would have aaron or CJ do it, i wouldn't just buy a crate motor from some .cOM unless its aerospace or VMS.

I got mine from Volvo and Saab dismantlers in Cali. Great company, great reputation. Got a 93k mile 850R motor for $1100 shipped to my door. Shipping was $450.

They specialize in these cars, so if you are looking for a "junkyard" engine, I'd go with them.

i would like to do an ultimate stage zero so i can put on an 18t, rica tune, etc down the road. those are my desires, my immediate concern is having an engine that doesn't burn off oil and sound like a woodpecker. i have been searching for the people in florida that justin get's rebuilt heads from but i cannot find the thread he put the info in for the life of me. thanks for the info though, i'll look into it.
