Guest J Posted August 18, 2008 Report Posted August 18, 2008 when I attempt to start my V70 it makes a clicking sound but it will not start. But, if jumper cable are applied it starts right up. If you let run for 25 minutes and turn off car. It will not restart.Could it be the alternator?

Ihatespeedbumps Posted August 19, 2008 Report Posted August 19, 2008 If you can only start the car by jumping it off, then you have a dead battery. Put a new battery and see if the alternator is charging after that.
