Do Not Buy From Speed Tuning!

You get a +1 to that...

You get what you pay for now a days, not just in the product, but customer service.

So then why did so many people get screwed over by RICA? If I got screwed out of $900...I would not be a happy camper.

Thanks for posting this. I do not think I am going to have them do my custom tuning now. If I spend $400 and something goes wrong, I dont want them to refuse to fix it. I am not willing to risk money for something that might work. You were sold a product/service in good working order, and thats what you should have received.

If I were you, I would email Oliver a link to this thread. Maybe that will help change his mind.

And Justin, its the principal of the matter. Even if it was $10, Nick should still be reimbursed.

No not arguing its a shitty deal at all He should remburse him all his money + the ECU + stuff for BS

I am saying its bound to happen no matter what you cant make every customer happy .

And from my personal experence this weekend I wouldnt buy from Rica just due to how shitty of a tune it is.

Mainly due the tune in the car I took a ride in was a automaic that was supposed to be a manual , we swapped in my ST tune and the car work much better and shifted correctly so . . . . . . . .

I think the point is that in this case, you CAN. If Nick gets his money back he will be happier than he is now. Obviously nothing ever works out perfectly, but a good seller will do his best to satisfy ALL customers. Even if it means fixing his own mistakes ;).

No arguing that fact either but not every vendor does.

Theres a extent that when you sell stuff that your willing to go and up to that point your happy to go after that you loose money and say fug it .

Now in this case oliver has no clue how to run a buisness at all . You wont here me argue that fact at all.

Shipping them how he shipped them is a total joke cant spend five minutes and get the boxes at USPS or shoot I wont even use them and got to UPS and spend extra $10 for them to box it that is what I do and no problems yet.

I have shipped a few thins with USPS and half of the items got sent back.

But for him to buy a new ECU and then reflash and send , not going to happen. I wouldnt its not like nick is going to be a repeat customer its a once and done deal now if you did a bunch of buisness with him , and then had the potential to make up his loses then he would problally do it.

I can see where oliver is comming in some point since I have thrown money to fix customers equipmnent in hope of getting more buisness from them and it never happend

Dude, this sucks major donkey ballz... This is why I stay away from a whole lot of GB's on this site. The $$ you save, it almost always spent sourcing out another solution. I don't buy stuff unless is IPD, I've had their tune in almost every Volvo I've owned. I did get the ROM files once from Oliver and he was a really really great guy, on GB's however I feel that vendors may not treat every case with care, but instead they are looking to make their $$ pronto and not paying attention to what they're doing.

When it comes to car stuff, I don't like to bargain on parts. Because you'll always get what you pay for, IPD is just awesome for peace of mind.

Justin, you are right but again, 9 out of 10 is not 10,.. it takes one monkey up, for me NOT to buy from said person or vendor.
