So who didn't try and jump something with their car? I did the same thing (17 at the time) but I was in my brand new escort that I was making payments on. Just past Redskins Park on Loudoun County Parkway used to be dirt/gravel and have a small one lane bridge that I attempted to jump at 55 mph.

I can say that I have never intentionally tried to jump a car.

Actually, no... I seriously just remember this, I have. I only had my permit, driving my grandmother's new sebring with her in the passenger seat and she demanded that I throttle it for the upcoming hill because you can get some air. No, I'm not kidding in the slightest. I don't think I hit the hill with even half the speed required to accomplish the goal. So... does that really count?

Drove my mom's Liberty over a snow bank that turned out to be a plowed in saturn when I was 16, throttled up the face and all of a sudden the front end jus kinda sunk and there was all this crushing popping scraping noise, backed off and found half of what used to be an old purple saturn coupe, got really lucky it was my friend's neighbor's car that didn't run and had to be junked anyway, they just made me pay for the disposal

What I think is funnier is that Chrsyler changed the name of the Sebring to the "all new" 200.

They cleaned it up, but I'm not sure why they say it's all new. Much better than what it was, but it will still be a good day when that entire platform goes away. Basically the end result of Mercedes treating them like a stepchild.

Chrysler sucks

Everybody has made a run of shitty cars.

I've owned a zillion of them used and new varying from 1982 to 2011. One had more problems than it should have, a 95 Neon I bought brand new. My 2002 Grand Cherokee had issues, but I'm pretty sure the odometer saying 99k when I bought it was probably closer to 200k. By time I figured it out it was too late to do anything about it and it's gone anyway. I straight up abused the ones I had when I was younger, and they wouldn't die.

  • 1 month later...

i blew the motor in the first car i bought. didnt have the means to change the oil and when i finally did get some in there i got on the highway and threw some rods out the side of the block.

same car, i was trying to do a stereo install on it and chopped the positive battery wire and put one in that could take a subwoofer power wire in addition to sitting on the terminal.

My first car accedent was when I was 10-12, I drove a Radio Flyer into the side of a rental car.....

You won't be the first one to have driven a radio flyer in to allllll kinds of stationary objects

My cousin had a pretty rough accident when he was younger that this loosely reminds me off. Except he was driving a little gasoline gokart and drove it face-first in to the prop of an in-bouard out-board boat on a trailer. Face, meet prop shaft.

Interesting... Did you gun it before the block had warmed up? Had the oil in the block become sludge?

It wasnt just any rental car either.... I was at a bluegrass festival, at Noppet Hill Campground, and It was Ray & Alices (Number 1 Bluegrass Fans) rental car.

The funny part was my fathers Point of view.

He saw a 10 year old crying with his little red wagon in tow, being followed by an angry mob of elderly people.....
