freeskier8585
I get this weird constant frequency vibe when i brake, but only when the brakes are warm and mostly on corners, new disks pads and i used the anti squeal shims and the red goo for vibration. I never get it in the winter, only in the summer, more so when its hot. Help? 97 850 T5 stock brakes.

freeskier8585
it feels like the fronts, but to be honest i cant really tell, it vibrates the whole car.
freeskier8585
does anyone have any ideas, its pretty high frequency, not a normal vibe from a warped rotor.

DonutsDemise
i had it on my rear brakes once, it didn't shake the car but it was a very high frequency squeal, like truck drum brakes. I just did a brake job to get rid of it.if it shakes your whole car, i bet it's the front brakes. what kind of pads/rotors do you have on there now? freeskier8585
brembo disks and pbr pads.
DonutsDemise
sounds like a good combination, how old are they? try to see if there is any thickness variation on the rotors, the only way to get rid of the noise etc is a good brake job. if it wasn't shaking your car i would say pads but i definitely say it's the rotors. Boost_Junky
Your need half shims on the rear brakes. Feels like (4) 18" subs just hit a hard note? Yes, then you need half shims.
flyfishing3
slightly warped rotor?
DonutsDemise
oh right, you said high frequency... shims could be it, do you have them on the rear brakes?slightly warped rotor?i thought that too, but if it's a higher frequency than the rpm of the wheels/rotors then that wouldn't make sense
flyfishing3
i'm thinking the metal has a weekness the heat is showing up. ie. its not expanding from the heat evenly.
DonutsDemise
are the lug bolts torqued? if not that could be it or just bad rotors to begin with. i thought higher of brembo though.

DonutsDemise
before i sold the 99 to my friend i put zimmerman's and volvo pads on it. i hope that doesn't come back to me for warping. the ebc rotors and pads were glazed more than a box of donuts. i thought my system was filled with air instead of fluid
