mbsl98
I have discovered that the 850/x70 doors are set up to be greased with a typical grease gun, not just by squirting oil on the outside. There is a small bronze colored e-torx plug in the middle of each hinge, seen when the door is open. simply remove those plugs and insert a standard 8mm grease nipple ( I bought a mixed set of nipples at AutoZone for about $3.00), then plug in your normal grease gun. A couple of squirts and the grease comes out the other end of the hinge pin fully coating the whole pin. with no mess. Aopparently you can't leave the grease nipples installed due to space limits inside the door part of the hinge, although it looked as if they would clear on mine. However, I only had two of the right size, so I moved them from door to door. About 10 minutes for teh job, and the doors open really smoothly now. mbsl98
ditto..i'd like to know torx alsoI just checked and it is an E 8 torx socket. Either short or deep should work fine. Then insert an 8mm greaase nipple and use a standard grease gun fitting.
