Thank you, George W. Bush. Seriously. Thanks alot douchebag.

Really, you can thank your buddy Obama. In 2005 George W. pushed for tighter controls in the mortgage banking business. That was shot down of course by congress and the #1 recipient of Freddie Mac PAC money (some 19 million dollars) your new president. I wonder where that 19 million went?

i'm torn on this addtional bail out of AIG.

bailing out the car makers too i have a problem with. the problem is they support so many manu. of other materials the ripple would be huge. my dads old company sold a lot of plastics that went into cars, their reps are sitting on their hands right now.

i guess the american dream now is to create a company so large that you employee huge numbers and no way the gov can let you fail.

f the credit card companies. i'd let them flush for sure. they are not a neccessity

I can't believe this is good, govt helped cause this now there helping with our money to bail them out? I'm a simple man and maybe I don't get it, but someone needs to go to jail. And pay back what they stole in salary. Big Auto is a dangerous ib=ndustry to let fall, but when does it end. More good money after bad? When do I get my bailout?

I got it! I know, I'm a genius

Perfect Solution to Financial Crisis

From a European astronomy organization, we learn about the discovery of a "magnetar." Here's the background:

"Astronomers have discovered a most bizarre celestial object that emitted 40 visible-light flashes before disappearing again. It is most likely to be a missing link in the family of neutron stars, the first case of an object with an amazingly powerful magnetic field that showed some brief, strong visible-light activity."

But here's what's really interesting -- please forward this immediately to Ben Bernanke and Hank Paulson:

The most likely candidate for this mystery object is a 'magnetar' located in our own Milky Way galaxy, about 15 000 light-years away towards the constellation of Vulpecula, the Fox. Magnetars are young neutron stars with an ultra-strong magnetic field a billion billion times stronger than that of the Earth. "A magnetar would wipe the information from all credit cards on Earth from a distance halfway to the Moon," says co-author Antonio de Ugarte Postigo.

Pelosi looks to introduce bill for Big Auto. And get this, no specific amount! Open check book.

I said let 'em burn at the beginning of this thing. Politicians would have taken a bigger hit, putting their precious jobs on the line.

Thats what eats my ass. They are not doing whats best for the country, IMHO.

Who's next to line up for cash?

i'm kind of ok with AIG and i understand the car industry

but no banks, almost no businesses. no credit card companies and especially no mortage companys.

I guess I am more pissed that they got bailed out then they went on a $400,000 golf trip and spa day for their execs
