JESSEXC
I hope I'm not the only one, but I feel that this is getting out of hand. If I remember correctly this is a car forum and I believe we should do your best to keep it that way. I don't see the point of bringing your political or religion beliefs to this forum. I could care less on how you feel, in fact some of your beliefs have disgusted me and I have lost repect for some of our members. So....please, debate in the proper forum because it doesn't belong here.
J0E
Actually you are the one in need of direction. If you can read the title of the sub-forum, it says "Off-topic/Deleted." What subject matter are you expecting from an "Off-topic" sub-forum in a Volvo forum? Off-topic car discussion, meaning strictly car talk relating to non-Volvos? Then create a "General Automotive" forum.Threads on religion/politics and anything boiling down to those issues are pretty much what makes up of "Off-topic" forums. It's fine the way it is, chief. It's just what type of outcome do you expect when you bring up religion or politics? 30 pages of calling each other %$#@?←I've never seen a thread on religion/politics on any forum turn out otherwise. That's just the way it is. It's the forbidden fruit of any conversation. Opinions are like assholes: Everyone has one, and they all stink. But some smell better than others...;)
matt1122
I don't see a lot of that in these threads, I see people talking about the issues. It might get heated but there isn't much flaming.
Mesoam
i personally don't think it is out of controll....yet. But if it gets to that point (hopefully not) then I'm sure the MOD/ADMIN powers maybe have to be used
Chris_R
I've simply chosen to not read those threads (when properly labeled). -Chris
gdizzle
Like Joe said, it's the Off-topic/Deleted Posts forum. What more do you expect. If you don't want to read or partake in the forum, then don't. Simple as that, but don't try to shut it down just because you have a problem with it. Build a bridge and get over it.....man thats lame, but tru3!

drPheta
It's a good thing we are allowed to post on politics. The majority of the US is so blind to politics that almost any medium used to present it is beneficial. Most will not vote, or vote without any real knowledge of why they're voting, and the result is a public that complains about their president. So, since this is an off topic forum, I see anything ranging from the funny to the serious appropriate here.Post on lefties and righties. V Tuning 850
All I got to say is if you don't like it don't read it. No one is making you read these threads.Look at the headings and if you don't like it don't read. So stop bitching about it.
EricF
Maybe we should talk to Charles about a politics/religion forum? This is what www.floridasportsman.com did when things started getting hot about the election, and OT over there is back to its glory days. They also have close to 40k members, too. It's just an easy way to clean things up IMO :)
matt1122
I think a political subforum of off-topic would be beneficial. I second your motion. :D

"thats just plain wrong. maybe stink less, but smell better?. Id also like to know if youve got evidence to back up the fact that they all stink and how you gathered it.
