Mossback
They'll cut production to raise prices but not to a point that it will hurt the economy more than it is already. They just want to stop the price drop. Tweaking supply based on demand.

Young Burnsy
What about the oil Justin?!!?!?!?!??!?!Did you guys honestly expect anything else of OPEC? How else do you expect them to buy their custom exotics and spend 10 million on a license plate...

J0E
A cut in production is absolutely necessary. Not doing so is completely irresponsible.

JCviggen
Let's say you have a garden full of golden eggs. Obviously a blessing but not an infinite source of income. When people are queueing around the block to buy them from you for 1000$ a pop it makes sense to make hay while the sun is shining. Because sooner or later things will have a downturn, economies are cyclical. Now why would you continue to work your ass off your ever shrinking supply of eggs at 300$ ? When you control the market, no less?Seriously I like cheap things as much as the next guy but be fsking realistic people. Everybody is screaming left and right about socialist politicians threatening their cosy lifestyles and at the same time cry murder whenever prices increase due to free market principles

Young Burnsy
But you do not think they are doing it in spite? They are doing it to make as much money as possible. Cause when the oil runs dry they won't have anything. I mean who wants to go on vacation in the middle east besides the jews?
JCviggen
But you do not think they are doing it in spite? They don't have much of a reason to do so. If it was spite instead of money they wouldn't increase supply to whatever they could manage when prices were soaring. Surely there are OPEC members that aren't invited to christmas dinners at the white house but their quotas affect the whole world their friends included. Its everybody for themself... Young Burnsy
They only increased production because people were starting to spend less money on gas because it was so expensive. They milked it at those high prices for as long as they could. Then when they ramped up production it forced prices to fall. Now prices have fallen too far for their liking and they slow production to create a higher demand.Your right they completely control the market.I don't understand how you just totally changed your stand point in a matter of 15 minutes. haha
ErikS
But you do not think they are doing it for the spit?I think for once one of your theories are correct.
