rp850
I followed this exact procedure when I did mine. I have to say it is pretty straightforward, if a bit time consuming. The biggest thing to watch out for is not cutting or gouging the metal housing that the bushing sits in. Aside from that is not bad. Just have to go slow and have patience when cutting through the old bushing. Here ya go! http://www.___.com/engine_mount2.php

If you want the benefits of polyurethane without the vibrations, then you might consider the polyurethane upper mount that FCP sells. It's redesgined to eliminate vibration problems. I replaced all my engine mounts and torque rod on my 94 850 Turbo wagon and used the FCP on top (everything else was genuine Volvo). My 850 is very smooth. No vibration problems, so I know what FCP states is true about the redesigned polyurethane mount not causing vibration.FCP Polyurethane Upper MountBy the way, the one shown in the picture is not the one that I received. The picture must show the old style. The one I received was black and it was not solid as shown in the picture. Mine has cores removed (there are empty holes in the mount) that make it less stiff. Serge
Thanks for the reply! I replaced my mount with an OEM one yesterday and I won't be going back to anything else. The car feels a million times better inside. Vibration is significantly reduced (if not gone), the idle feels quiet, shifts into reverse are smooth and quiet, and it even accelerates without jerking the chassis. I'm very happy with the results :)

You can get the whole mount and bracket for $93.59 from the dealer. But for the $16 the bushing costs and $10 in pipe parts, it's cheaper to do it yourself.
