Turns out it seized for no apparent reason. He got a new one under warranty. It's a terrible car, but it does ride and handle quite well. He bought new pegs from Volvo and that sharpened up handling quite a bitPlus....my stock V70 is quicker after about 40 mph...FAIL s40 LOLOLThat's what the CPO warranty is for Not bad, dude. The early cars did have issues. I think there is something in that car's history that you guys don't know about. The only issues I've had were the oil-trap/breather box assembly (warrantied) and some other things that derived from me driving like an idiot. They're solid cars.I might be heading in a direction away from the S40 soon...so i'll let you know if any of the stuff I have on the car is gonna be available when the time comes.
