TEN8US D
also using the same jig with the solvent. maybe you can used compressed air to dry it out. use a hairdryer and blow air inside it to dry it out.water may have frozen inside it. sad to say but the intercooler may have to come out.Unless you're running desiccant dryer on your compressor, I'd avoid compressed air. When going from a smaller diameter air hose, into the larger sized intercooler, the intercooler will act as a pressure drop and promote condensation of the moisture that's in the (compressed) air.I'd stick with bringing it inside overnight or rig up a hair-dryer as a blower... von_braun
I too had this same problem, called around a few shops and Borton Volvo told me the same thing but that unless i replace the inter cooler the problem would just come back. I doubt a new I/C is the answer. I found allot of ice built up in the bottom most i/c hose and I ran a hair dryer in the top of the i/c and about 1/4 cup of water/oil dripped out. I replaced the pcv system at the same time I think the clogged PCV sytem lead to moisture build up, hopefully the problem wont come back. Haven't started driving it yet, will let you know results.
