I would MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCH rather my kids getting high then drinking

Add driving into the equation and you can multiply the number of "U"s in the word MUCH above by 12

We talking about marijuana ;)

if we are talking about marijuana "addicts" then yes.

Ask any cop if he EVER remembers a guy high on weed getting violent and resisting arrest. IT NEVER HAPPENS. Weed smokers are the most docile people on the face of the planet.

which is entirely unlike alcoholics, who love to just get angry and fight

It all starts with marijuana, not a big deal, but then marijuana is not enough, people are switching to stronger stuff. Coke and heroin is in the future. Ask me how do I know? my step cousin start using marijuana 14 years ago, then start going to night clubs.. now he is almost dead by being a drug addict and he is only 34.

Alcohol effects everyone differently. Same goes for marijuana. Its not so much the people that smoke marijuana but the dealers that are the problem. When you start adding guns to the equation and lot of money, shit hits the fan. And yes, smokers do resist arrest, they run. Dont you watch cops? Same goes for drunks. Either way, they endanger the public.

and that's exactly why so many people who do not use drugs want it to be legalized. it would eliminate the black market around it. the biggest problems surrounding it are a direct result of it being illegal. even if you hate it, it'd be better for one person to do harm to themselves than for innocent people to become involved, right?

marijuana makes you paranoid, alcohol makes you feel empowered. regardless of legal status there's no question to me which is more dangerous.

i don't think one is more dangerous than the other. it's just the law. i still stop at stop signs when i am driving home from work at 2 am even though there is never a point to it at that hour and i drink alcohol instead of smoking weed.

One is more dangerous. Alcohol has killed millions, and continues to kill 75,000 more people each year. Weed has yet to been linked to ONE death in 10,000 years (which is btw, how long it has been smoked for its lovely qualities). Just try and think about that for a sec. In 10,000 years not a SINGLE person has had a death attributed to marijuana. Asprin kills more people then that. So does sex. And bowling.

The L.D. 50 of weed (the amount of weed it would take for 50% of the population to die from weed overdose) is around 8LBs of pure THC. Most weed is about 15% THC. So you would need to consume about 53LBs of weed before you had a 50% chance of death. And the only way they can guess this is by injecting animals with TONS of pure THC until they die and using that ratio on us. They have to do that cause NO ONE HAS EVER DIED BEFORE.

Maybe its time you started breaking some laws for your own safety.

both pole and alcohol cause sever long term health problems. both are dangerous to you and people around you. ie second hand smoke, or drunk driving. I'm tired of seeing stoner rhetoric about pole isnt as bad or whatever the case.

PS. I will agree in some cases alcohol can be more dangerous.
