ErikS
Again why woukd a large farm have to meet standards but not a small one?Its too broad, spearheaded by a Monsanto cronie. I get the import aspect of the global market and protecting US regulated farming. But shopping organic is already too expensive, this will just make it more so. You know how much an Oz of medical blow costs? Or what about paul and his ken folk. This is just another example of people trying to feel special and not comply with regs. GeraldJ
FDA. Same regulatory body same basic standards.Correct and the FDA is like the EPA make there own rules as they go. I deal with the FDA daily in my line of work and I will tell you I would rather be wanted by the CIA or FBI than the FDA

Che'_Moderator
What is your argument then, or is this just a DA exercise? My argument is if you are going to impose big government on big business then small business should have the same regs. Not saying regs are fair or not, just they should be applied to all.

Pops Racer
Organic veggies has poop on it. No fertilizer, no pesticides. Sounds like Archer-Daniels-Midland is getting hosed out of profit.I dont buy organic, too expensive. Plus I can grow most of what I eat, in season anyway. As long as it's just tomatoes. My grandpappy had 5 acres of organic fruit and veggies. He worked his ass off to get a crop. Deer, and other critters got their share, but the bugs and molds and stuff did the real damage. Best tasting produce I've ever eaten, ever. R.I.P. Popps. If your gonna regulate, regulate 'em all. Unfair advantage in the market place?
Cal3thousand
FDA. Same regulatory body same basic standards. If the FDA had it their way, all your food would be artificially manufactured just like all the drugs they approve.
