tomtbone
So I am almost done with my swap, but I can't attach the shifter cables to the shifter assembly at the ball joints. I am pressing really hard but I can't get it to pop on. Am I missing something? Do I need a tool to snap them on?
Tightmopedman9
I'm not sure what the tool is called but it has sliding jaws that locki into grooves so you can make the jaws very big, I just opened them up and squeezed the ball on there. I tried a hammer and was succesful with one of them, but couldn't get the other one. I'm almost done too, just can't seem to get the damn subframe aligned... Arghh

JDMS60R
I used a body dolly or big chunk of metal. placed the cup on top of it, cup onto the ball. held the shifter assembly with one hand and the other hand swung a dead blow hammer onto the shifter rod. "POP"Your right though they are a s.o.b.
