Guest Dag Lidbeck Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 Hey Guys,Took my 99 V70 R wagon out on Newfound Lake, NH for an ice racing event that the BMWCCA sponsored.Had a great time and did surprisingly well also, given that it was only my second time doing this.Beat out a bunch of Subie WRX's and BMW's with studded snows with my regular snow tires. I was second in my class by 0.01 second....Got 7 runs in on the competition course and a dozen or so runs on the practice course, where you could go a little faster....The wagon performed flawlessly, although you can hear my upper spring seats clunking, got to get that taken care of..I'm hooked...Here is a link to pics and movies:http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread....721#post9309721DL
Dan A Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 Nice job. Sounds like fun. Seems late in the year for going on the ice? How thick was it?

Fudge_Brownie Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 That looks like a lot of fun.I bet it'd be ridiculous in a FWD wagon though. Good videos!
