You're using the word efficiency wrong. If it has higher losses, as you said, it is less efficient. A T-5 can be fitted with tires that will not just spin so the need or better traction from AWD is not needed.

Only need for AWD on a S60 is if the front tires are on a patch of road that has a poor fiction coefficient. (Ice, gravel, etc) On normal road conditions the AWD adds weight, reduces efficiency, decreases fuel economy, and hinders handling.

I think that T-5 people do not have an inferiority complex but that R people have a superiority complex!

I am trying to sell my S60R. I am having twins, so I need something to haul them. Its a 2004, 50k miles, black with black interior, dark blue leather and accents

. 6 speed, tinted windows, custom black rims, new bridgestone z rated tires. 6 year, 100k mile warranty (I think about 8 months left on it) I love this car but I can't fit two baby seats in the back (and not be chewing on the steering wheel). I should have pictures this weekend. I am asking $16k or best offer. I live in Springfield, IL. Email me at kristenlee5@gmail.com if you're interested. I have had it about 1.5 yrs and haven't had any problems with AWD. I have driven it in snow several times and works like it is supposed to.

He watches NASCAR it seems

Ummmm... Nascar cars are amazing engineering & technology.

I like all motorsports including occasionally Nascar.

Holy crap you guys can be obtuse and argumentative.

The best handling cars (production and race) in the world are still RWD or on the odd occasion AWD -- I cannot really believe that people will actually try to argue that.
