hmmm flintrocs Saff = baller

I hope someone got some better pics fo that .

maybe some strut and bag pics .... I can only wish :(

Here are what I have

2nd pic is the 1st set of struts I had

3rd pic is my rear bag which prob does anyone no good

1st pic is an extra bag I have on my coffee table so you can see the top mount

If anyone can give me the part number for the (Koni?) single & double adjustable strut inserts that someone has used that are really short to make homemade coilovers I will buy a pair & make another new set so I can see if it will handle better. Bilstein makes shocks that are made specifically for aftermarket air-ride equipped vehicles but I think there is only like 2 or 4 to choose from & none of them will work for us. I'm too lazy / don't have time to look for the info on the adjustable inserts but I've FINALLY got a few bucks to spend & I would be happy to finally get a nice ride so that I could recommend or help other people out. I very rarely use the bags @ shows cause I haven't done anything to the car in years so I don't really like showing it off too much unless people ask

Awsomeness and no your rear pics would help me out alot considering I want to get ride of my nimovats in my 98R and I already have most of the stuff needed :)

2 Viair 380cc Aircompressors, 5gall tank , trainhorns

I would at least like to do the rears then make my way to the fronts.

from the looks of it you use a standard front strut and just remove the spring second and shock and inserted the airbag ?

and the rear just built mounts and went ?

again I am all over this just need some pointers

I forget whos airbags you suggest thou

Threadjacking but here it goes lol

For the rear if you compare mine to a stock one, I cut off somewhere between 1/2"-1" of the subframe that is mere hair thickness from touching the bag. At one spot there is a hole in the middle where you can see the body, I had to trim so much. As for the front, my plan is to cut down the stock struts to the height I need, weld my bottom mount on, insert the struts & secure them, then bolt my bag to the strut. I also need the inserts to have the same size rod in order for it to work with my current upper mounts. I have firestones in mine, I would like to use Slam Specialties but because of the way they compress they will cause more rubbing issues. I'm not sure if a 4ply bag would work any better than a standard 2 ply. It would be stiffer but that is not always better. If you ever need help you just need to continually harass me. I'm pretty unreliable lol. Always trying to do too many things & stretching myself thin. If I don't get back witihin a day or 2 it means I've forgotten & need a friendly reminder.

C'mon guys, it's pretty bad when guys drive all the way down from Seattle and you guys are less then an hour away and can't even show up for support :(

Yup, that is what I was saying last week. A lot of the "locals" never show up. Sacramento is local because that is where we stayed the night before the show. San Francisco is local, even if you guys don't think it is.

I have photos that I will post up in the next day or so. Also have a few from the track day and video from inside my car.

He is not kidding about this. Is this why you forgot to get back to me about something Shawn?

Hi dmelvi007,

I don't know all the winners off hand, but I know that the:

-P1900 won Best in Show

-242 GT won in the 240 category

I just sent an e-mail to CJ and Jeff asking for the complete list.

One of us should post back shortly...

Take care,

My old 1991 Coupe (780 Bertone) won in the 7xx/9xx category. Congrats to her new owner...who didn't do sh*t to the car but fix the paint and upholstery.
