TRACStar Posted June 17, 2009 Report Share Posted June 17, 2009 There's some random douche that works at my local advance auto that has a 240 with an sr20 swap that is constantly talkin ish on all my buddys cars which are faster than mine so last week I told him that if he could beat my car he would get a shot at a faster car. We raced twice sunday night first race I power braked it to about 2500 and just spun all of first gear, by the time I hooked he was about 3-4 cars ahead and I still ran him down and got him by about 2 cars. Second race he jumped way early and I just rolled into it trying to minimize spinning he had a good 3 cars right off the line but I caught him quick and got him by 6-7 cars at the end. Needless to say he has not talked any trash on anyones cars.....well other than his because as soon as I beat him he started listing all the problems he's been having. So I just told him that he was lucky I could not get any traction cause he would have looked really stupid. anyone know how factory axles would handle 205/xx/15 drag radials? I only held it for about 2-3 seconds just to build a little boost for the launch, which ended up hurting more than helping anyway. Over 90% of POS 240s with "SR20 swaps" (all of which driven by the same type of 18 year-old that would be working at a parts-store) barely make over 200 HP. The drivers of the rare but properly built 240s aren't the type to "talk shit" about 15-second cars and they certainly don't work at Auto Zone.
