Pops Racer
Waiting lines for treatment have gotten so long, private clinics are opening up!! They are rejecting socialized medicine while we run head long into the abyss. How ironic. Like Europe's rejection of lefties in their parliaments. WOW.

Zappo
Like Europe's rejection of lefties in their parliaments. You do realize that our left is like their right. Their left make hippies look conservative. :)

cbon
You do realize that our left is like their right. Their left make hippies look conservative. That may well be, but his point is made, nevertheless. And according to news reports in the past few months, even Europe has decried the depth and extent the US gov't has gone in involving itself in business/market/economy. Russian newspapers also have exclaimed how suddenly and precipitously the US has turned leftward into socialist policies. Hugo Chavez, perhaps somewhat cynically, also made note of it. DonutsDemise
That's a funny coincidence. Too bad you can't have short lines and guaranteed coverage for your population at the same time. You would think the best country on Earth could find a way to one up Canada.
TaskMule
You would think the best country on Earth could find a way to one up Canada. They already have, in a number of ways. Human Development Index has nothing to do with healthcare as a matter of fact the fact that you posted as you did makes it easy to see your someone who just accepts what people tell them instead of looking shit up for yourself. HDI is about development of a country not about in anyway healthcare it is calculated on these principles. The HDI combines normalized measures of life expectancy, literacy, educational attainment, and GDP per capita for countries worldwide. Now, since we are on the subject can you tell me why we are falling behind on the HDI? Its very simple to understand once you pull your head out of your ass. Education, plain and simple education is where we are falling behind in leaps and bounds because of public education.

Pops Racer
The total population of the 1st 9 countries in that list combined don't equal the 300 million in the US. It's easy to account for 25 million in Canada vs 300 million. I live in a town that has the lowest per student expenditure for education in CT. We rank top 10 in student performance. More money down a black hole don't fix stuff. You figure it out. SO with all that, any one of you want to move out of U.S.? Didn't think so. DonutsDemise
SO with all that, any one of you want to move out of U.S.? Didn't think so. I actually would love to move to Sweden, the only thing keeping me here is the people I know, not our flawed systems and corrupt government. At least in Sweden they welcome immigrants (well 95% of the population at least). And looking Swedish and having dual-citizenship helps too
