JBVolvo
I see the EMPI is $109 and the Non-EMPI is $79. Is there a difference really? And is the difference worth spending the extra $30? I need to replace the front left on my non turbo 850 wagon.
cn90
I think the consensus of this forum is EMPI. For $30 more it is worth it. Unless you want to play with the cheap Chinese junks and replace them every 12m/10K miles!!!
erikv11
+1 Sometimes the cheap axles fit right, and don't break. non-EMPI = $80 = bad choice EMPI = $110 = good choice raxles.com = $150 = best choice
FCP Euro
I have the non-EMPI (it is an FEQ) axle in my 850 right now with about 5K miles on it and it is still very good. Just figured I would let you know.
Big Will
I have an FEQ axle on the driver's side of mine as well and it's fine so far (10K and counting). That said, it came with the wrong sized c-clip so I had to re-use the old one and the nut is not the normal size so we re-used that too. I would get the EMPI if I did it over.
