Roman Catholism is based on scripture + Papal decrees + Church history. But I stand behind my statement Lutheranism and Catholicism are not the same and it's my understand that the Catholic church is the non gay friendly of the two. My point was the same as yours, they are not the same. The Lutheran church was formed in rebellion to the teachings and practices of the catholic church.
