JBVolvo
At this point I think I'm going to seafoam and be done with it. I want a sedan or coupe anyway, and will just sell the wagon. As it stands, theres still no sign of oil burning out the exhaust
JBVolvo
What's the recommended amount of seafoam to use? And is it recommended via oil or air intake in my situation? Noticed a little rust in the dipstick tube today. PCV seems to be working. Maybe it IS a head gasket leak?

I posted it via iPhone before I even got home with it. I'd done it before with other vehicles via vacuum lines.
FredMc
My experience: Fall 2008, down a quart every two weeks, driving me nuts. I had some leaks on oil return lines and so on. Fixed those. Still using oil. Dec 2008, got AutoRx and did the treatment and that took two months or so. Follow the directions. late Jan 2008, oil consumption went to zero Sept 2009, now using about 1/2 quart every 2,000 miles. Conclusion: AutoRX cleaned the ring packs. The oil consumption went to zero within the first 500 miles of treatment. No doubt this was the problem. Between the rings being coked and the turbo probably blowing some through, it was the oil burning cause. This was a 1998 S70T5, 150K at the time, now has 167K and running strong.

Have you even bothered to read the can before asking the question? Suggestion: Change the oil immediately (use only dino oil like Mobil 5000) Buy Auto RX See if oil consumption goes down within the first 500 miles (roughly two tanks of gas)

JBVolvo
AutoRx leaning towards thinking its the headgasket at this point with the coolant loss, but I will try the AutoRX and see if theres a difference
JBVolvo
Just replaced the plugs. This tell you guys anything or does it look normal for plugs that have been in over 40K
erikv11
that one on the left might be a little blackish, maybe burning some oil there? but in general they look typical for 40k, light brown and not all fouled up.
