RZT5
I would pay for gas and pay you for your time. Basically its much cheaper to have a car shipped to the west coast if it doesnt have to be taken over the border by the transport company. Anyone interested, or know of anyone who might be interested?
(n)A-GAME
You do know that they ask at the border whose car you're driving. And if the ownership papers doesn't match the name on your passport good luck.
Wagoneer855
Yeah Rye, seeing how much trouble I had to bring the 245 across, this sounds like more trouble. Find someone with a flatbed. If you aren't driving it, it's scrap metal to them. But whoever brings it across, it WILL get searched.
RZT5
i was thinking about calling the border office before hand and saying that it was my car and then tell them who was going to be driving it across and that I authorized it, dont know if thats possible to do though... (n)A-GAME
Sorry bud, they won't do that. They also would then red flag it as suspicious.
RZT5
dont care of they search it, not trying to smuggle anything in it any other options anyone can think of? (n)A-GAME
you could buy a $400 plane ticket and do it yourself...just a thought :arob:
shanehutton
What are you going to do with it once it gets there? I hate to say it but maybe you should just sell it really cheap in Ontario? I can't believe nobody has bought it yet. Why are cars so easy to buy and so damn hard to sell? If I had somebody to buy mine I would buy it from you in a second.
EVL WAGN
Just ship it by rail from Toronto to Vancouver and then swing up and pick it up dude...it doesn't cost very much to ship by rail. You just have no control over when it leaves Toronto.

shanehutton
I think the clincher here is the driver would have an Ontario license and the car is plated in Oregon.

shanehutton
I dropped the car off at the rail yard last night. It's all taken care of. Ontario now has 1 less T5M :(
