great .

Those delete hubs you got.Did you get them on VS, or neighborhood lathe work ?

And what you going to do with ignition?

Cap and cam sensor custom mounting on s60 head?

Hubs came from Aaron (see VVT Delete Hub Thread)

Ign will be COP

TTCOP2.jpg

I drilled the cam anyway.

Is COP for TT in production or are you doing some kind of "beta" testing???

Where the hell this setup came from?

More specs, NOW !!!!!

TurboTunerUSB COP setup. They are finishing up the final wiring now (he had issues sourcing the proper connectors, amongst other things) the ECU connector will be right angle in production version.

They sent me a link to a car running the beta - but now I can't find it :(

Mine is not exactly beta :D Hopefully I'll have it in my sweaty palms in the next month - it's been worked on for quite some time, trying to get the production costs down, I think was the big issue.

Contact info@turbo-tuner.co.uk for more info....

dammit CJ said it wasn't ready and with unknown timeline when I ordered. I want COP instead/

oh yeah an nice F in work on the manifold setup looks $$ that is going to be a world of difference!

What aspect? The overall component design, or the COP wiring harness? I've made my own COP wiring, so unlike the example, it will be one piece back to the relay box.

7 transitions, 9 if you count what appear to be two soldering points...

Do the ground wires of the coils needs to run al the way back? Can't it be grounded to the engine like the stock wiring?

Same goes for the feed wires.

I don't really see a big advantage in a COP setup...unless you are struggling with misfires they are not going to add much power of their own. They are a neater solution if installed from the factory..retrofitting like this kind of removes that main advantage.

The 850s had a very decent distributor based ignition system, supports over 500hp if you want it to. So it seems a lot of hard work for the novelty.

Thanks!

Production version isn't ready, and I know there aren't any prepped ECU's over here, so it certainly could be some time before the full kit & revised ECU is readily available..

I don't have answers. Once I receive mine, I can comment more knowledgeably. I will be looking to minimize connections, hence the one piece harness from relay to COP units. The rest, I don't know yet.

I find that the cap & rotor wear very quickly with the addition of the MSD6 box, and any reduction in moving/wear parts seems good to me.

One less variable to be concerned with.

I do kind of agree with JC-Viggen.

This might sound bonkers coming from someone manufacturing and selling this COP product, but my opinion is that the COP conversion is probably only beneficial to those who need it, rather than to have it just because you can!

Examples of needing it would be -

1. Fitting a T5 engine into some other car like a 240 where the bulkhead is in the way of the distributor.

2. Using a different cylinder head which doesn't facilitate using a distributor system.

3. Using (or experimenting with) VVT on the intake cam. (timing !)

that's why I originally wanted it but it's pretty easy to convert to disributor on the 99+ engines so if there is no significant gain in output to the plug then I guess I don't need it! I'm certainly not going for over 500 hp :)

Hussien sorry for the thread jack. Back on track now.

Hussein when do you expect to install your new head and intake set up?
