BlackT5
Looks like a pretty standard setup. The R clutch is holding up so far? I'm sure many people will be interested in your tuning solution if it allows control over ME7 while retaining some functionality.

Im about to run 350whp+ with mine so time will tell.

On Larrys S60R it seems to work just fine. So I would think that it would work on just about anything as complex as those systems seem to be. From what i have read in the past the R Clutch can handle 400whp max? Im about to run 350whp+ with mine so time will tell. Same thing I heard, but up to 450? I never got that far yet. Captain Bondo
My R clutch was totally fine at 400whp. It didn't slip at 450whp either but I din't drive it much making that power, as one of the straps on the pressure plate broke due to foreign object damage. lookforjoe
Present from Sconeman came while I was @ Carlisle - just got around to opening it. Many thanks for the coil packs! It's good to have a back up set for test purposes. Kristian included a couple of stickers - in the appropriate color - so I added one to my intake

You know better than this.... power rating for a clutch? How much torque were you putting down, low 400 ft-lbf?
Alan M
My R clutch (and pressure plate) has started to slip at around 5.8-6k rpm with a K27 turbo. It was fine with my K24 turbo producing 368lb of torque. It has covered 4000 miles.
Captain Bondo
Yep. I would say once you pass 350-375ft/lb it's time to think about using something else. The 707 is awesome.
Captain Bondo
What's the story with the ME7 tuning? Some sort of piggyback? Is there a thread on it?
lookforjoe
Damaged the sidewalls on the left two tires going to Carlisle - rte 84 sucks bigtime. Since I have to replace all four tires, I decided to look into getting my black pegs powdercoated & striped. Cost around here would be $125-150, so not worth it on repro pegs. Gonna go with these 5x108, 45mm offset. They also have these in 38mm offset, but I think that will push them out too far. Since my (Volvo) pegs are 46mm offset & clear the BBK's, I am hoping these clear OK. I do have 5mm spacers if needed - I used them with the 18"s which are 48mm offset. Mesoam
rte 84 sucks bigtime. I spent A LOT of my drive dodging and weaving on those horrible roads, they get worse every year
lookforjoe
Did a quick pull yesterday - mean lean spot @ 5800rpm in 4th! Not entirely linear as I was hesitant about continuing out of 3rd - & part way into 4th, then I decided to say fuck it Not sure way boost is also all over the place (black trace) - it's usually rock solid. Have since enriched the 4,6-5,8k rpm load ranges (62-68% mostly), and pulled some more timing.
JCviggen
Was this uphill again H or flat? With the numbers you saw on that dyno I dont completely understand why your 62-124mph is still well over 14 seconds..whats your best time for that bracket? When my car was making 315 on a dynojet a few years ago it was doing 9.5 secs. I know about AWD but it should be faster than that at this boost. My chipped 15G was in the 14.5-15 range IIRC. Hi JC That was flat. It is MUCH slower in AWD. Substantial timing pull compared to FWD must be a big factor. Not sure the M66 gearing helps either. What is the weight difference between sedan & AWD wagon, I wonder - I'll look it up for comparison. Don't have many 60-120 logs for comparison, unfortunately. I'm having trouble finding the space to acquire them. Ambient temps are now also in the high '80's - intake temps around 100º don't help, I'm sure. I need to finish hooking up the IAT for data logging.
JCviggen
yeah you do have more shifts in there, but on the other hand the gearing is a bit shorter so you gain back some of the time you lose during shifts. I am sure AWD sucks up a good deal of performance but its really very far off what I would expect still. A stock 300 crank S60R AWD will be doing 14-15 second 62-124s. Weight does matter, but less so once up to speed. The higher the speed the more its about aero less about weight. FWIW the best time I ever did in the 850 on a cold winter night was 7.8 seconds GPS verified. But thats unusually fast - similar to a murcielago or 997tt. The M56 4.45 gearing is perfect for that (1 shift) and it was cold out. Still it was with less than 400whp. If you could have an actual 300 awhp getting to the ground I would expect 10-11 second runs.
