Nope, it isn't the angle, that 6262 is a beast. I blew into the turbine inlet and it spooled right up too  .

And i thought your 5857 was big in person, looked pretty tight in the bay, i wonder how this one is gonna slide in.

For the life of me I can't find your thread about your X-1/9.

My Boss is just starting to work on his and he had this vid this morning.

What a screamer!

I don't have a thread on the X1/9. I have several threads of various mods on Xweb (linked in my sig)

I took this video after I installed the headers/Camaro muffler

I wish I had a Dallara/wide body kit!

If I keep this X, I may figure out a turbo swap at some point. I'd like to use a 4cyl whiteblock in it....

Soda blasting might help.

Have you personal experience with this? I could buy one relatively inexpensively. The media doesn't pose the same threat of sticking to the interior walls?

I am already thinking of getting a 500 Abarth SS. :)

Problem is, a C30 R design is not that much more.....

C30 is also a bit more powerful, and 1.4T should pull some nice HWY MPG numbers.

After any media blasting, I was under the impression it should be washed down with soap & water then oiled.

....

The problem with regular (glass?) media blasting is that the particles stick to the aluminum & don't leave from washing. They will then come loose when the engine is back in operation. That is my understanding.

Painted the pipes I modified for the new turbo

Have to figure out if I have sufficient clearance for the WG off the AC & P/S lines up by the firewall

I think it will end up low enough to clear based on this older pic
