survolvo
Is there any way you could maybe recess them into the vent at all? I think it looks good either way, just a thought.
blkaplan
Is there any way to attach them so they just spray through the mesh so they would be hidden behind the vent?
Commander Riker
They appear slightly higher, or is it just me? Do they hit the windshield alright still or do they overshoot at all?
Oreo931
Any pics of the scoop from a distance? All of your pics are up close so it's hard to see how it looks in relation to the rest of the car
B Mac
They appear slightly higher, or is it just me? Do they hit the windshield alright still or do they overshoot at all? Doesn't matter much once you're at speed.

lookforjoe
Installed the 1000cc Bosch Injectors today (bought them April of 2012, took awhile to get there), and a 160ºF T/stat. Now I have to see if TT can reset the cooling fan onset parameters, since operating temp is still around 200ºF. recalibrated in TT for the larger injectors, about 35% leaner. Feels good so far. Have to drive it some more to get the adaptive settled in.
Rsterns
Amazing stuff. Almost time to update your sig again, your currently stated HP is way off
s_moneh
Where did u find a 160deg t stat? Is that a worthy change? What can be gained from that?
lookforjoe
Where did u find a 160deg t stat? Is that a worthy change? What can be gained from that? On Amazon or RockAuto. Bought 2 a couple of years ago. I'll look up the PN later. I wanted to see if I could drop operating temp, since on extended pulls the coolant temp will rise 2º every few seconds - I was up to about 215º I think by the 3rd dyno pull, and that was with a 180º t/stat. I think there is no point unless cooling fan onset is modified in the mapping, since the t/stat will simply peg full open - it likes to run around 195-200º. I haven't asked Adam @ TTusb if he can adjust it for me yet - with VEMs I would imagine I can set it to whatever I want. Amazing stuff. Almost time to update your sig again, your currently stated HP is way off Yes, thank you for the reminder!
blkaplan
Did you do any tuning on the dyno or were you just looking to get numbers?
lookforjoe
Did you do any tuning on the dyno or were you just looking to get numbers? No tuning, I already knew the injectors would be maxxed out, I just wanted to redo (April dyno) with a working clutch. I didn't make any other hardware changes. Now that I have access to a reasonably priced AWD dyno, I can make sequential changes & go dyno without costing me a fortune. I'm not sure I even want to tune on the dyno, unless there is a way he can adjust the loading to reflect the turbo's spool characteristics - going WOT under 3K just brings on the timing pull seen in the plots. I have to press him on that issue. Picking up the surge tank & extra Bosch 044 this afternoon - that's be the next mod with increased ID fuel lines & Aeromotive FPR. Reworking the fuel lines on the AWD saddle tank had held me back from doing the previous idea - so I'm glad I held off - the surge tank seems like a much safer approach - pumps are submerged for cooling, won't risk cavitation, etc.
