The pumps are submerged, how is that going to induce cavitation? I already have had a single high volume external pump setup designed - its in the post you quoted.

When you’re sure that both pumps are running within there curves, its not a problem. But if the pumps are running out of the curves there is still a change of cavitation…even when submerge..

We encounter this problem with some parallel submersible cooling pumps here on site. Just make sure that you’re pumps are running within their curves, and then it will be no problem.

I’m trying to say that even submerge pumps can cavitate in some conditions ;)and it will occur sooner with parallel pumps.

Single pump did not have the capacity for your fuel demand? Not even with larger fuel lines?

The current in tank (DW300) is not at its limit. Since I have now upgraded to 1000cc injectors and will be raising the boost, I expect the current setup will be taxed, just as the earlier pump was at lower boost/650cc injectors..

Looking at the data logs, the pressure stays pretty constant to redline. I want to make sure I have more than I need for over 500AWHP.

I'm upping the fuel lines from stock 7mm to 10mm along with an aero motive FPR - I'm curious to see if it maintains a higher pressure under boost than the Eurospec sport adjustable, which will peak at 1bar, but drop off as I continue under WOT conditions - again this us evident in all the data logs.

Since it is such a PITA to access the sender and lines to the tank, I'm not going to do this in stages.

Summit fuel filter 230118 arrived - I went for the steel micron element vs. cellulose, AN-08 I/O- laid out the parts for the system...

Check valves go bye-bye in favor of a straight AN-08 outlet, which feeds into a "Y". They sell a "bar/rail" that links the pumps, but that means 90º out the pumps, then 90º again out the rail, not feelin' it

then the "Y" fitting arrived, so I could finish up the feed lines to the "Y" and out to the filter. The three fittings are: ORB -06 to 3/8"QC for FPR return & in tank (DW300) feeder, and ORB -06 to 5/16" QC for the the connection to the stock return in the left saddle

don't know yet exactly where the surge tank is gonna be located, so I'm not finishing the line to the filter until I get time to figure that out. Not looking forward to cutting the stock return line & rerouting to the surge tank. I could make a new line from the left saddle, but that would be even more of a PITA. With my luck, it'll end up going that route...

You really want go for 500WHP?? Damn dude…. That’s a ambitious plan you got there!

Hope you manage it and keep it running => Think you already have a good base for this project!

I’m very curious to this project and will follow this journey :tup:

I understand now the choice for the parallel twin pump plan, think you will solve some pressure drop issues when fitting larger fuel lines. Pressure regulator can handle the demand?

Evans waterless arrived :) I bought enough for the X1/9 as well - including two gallons of their prep/flush fluid to make sure no water/coolant is left behind.

Not really - at this point it's only a few PSI away - the PTE6262 is barely breaking stride at current boost levels, and my EBR is less than 1:1, so I know I'm not choking up top. Not sure who neg'd you, I fixed it.



damn. it sound so mean. i think those people you pass just piss their pant. i'm just curious. how do you pass a smog check with all that modification?

NYS is only via OBDII for my wagon - and '98's don't have to set readiness to pass. As long as there is no active CEL, and it has a pulse, I'm good to go.

I´m sure you will fix it! No doubt about that!! Never seen someone with this perseverance like you!!!

Seen a couple 500 pk projects and they all broke down on engine faulure...I dont want to scare you, that is really not my intension, please dont get me wrong. Think that youre have some bold plans and you will get the 500AWHP on some point, there is no doubt about that! I have confidence in youre plans.

Please keep up the good work and dont let you down, not even from a crazy negetive dutch man ;)

You know me: im always see some problems and always want to understand whats happening.

And yes: i have read the thread ;) a few times already....

BTW: keep youre y pice so fare as possible from youre pumps => pressure pulse wont be a problem then, pumps will like that better.
