Hussein's 1998 V70 Xr : The Force Awakens

Pulls today after revised timing - had a touch of knock in 5th (steep uphill run) where the load drops & AFR's climbed, so I need to check that out , otherwise looks good in terms of AFR's and 'feel'.

It held the timing values I entered nicely, and that brought the AFR's just back into what seems the optimum range for my setup 12- 12.5 pretty much.

A couple of part load rich areas that I can lean out a touch, and up top I can reduce the WOT slider settings to lean it a touch in the 7300- up range. I ran it up to 7600 in 4th.

Some VE changes - part load over 5K 16.129-16.212sec too lean, 4.127 - 4.911 too rich

Did some further part throttle/load tuning - found I was able to further increase timing rather than pull fuel in a few areas based on the rich AFR's (below 12) found

3rd Part throttle

4th Part throttle - increase fuel

same areas needing more fuel in 3rd WOT (over 72 TPS)

4th WOT

There is still some minor breakup/blowout not showing up in any logs - in the higher rpm/load ranges, so I'm going to try reducing the dwell times a small percentage. I can "feel" it & some sooting occurs (not sure if the sooting is everytime - I don't make it a habit of looking in the rearview at those levels)

Bad weather today - spent hours removing snow from the driveways. Almost got run over by an idiot in a minivan who clipped my calf/ankle as I was moving the snow blower at the end of my driveway. Why he was driving so close to a pedestrian I cannot fathom. Another inch or two over & he would have broken my leg (again) at the very least.

Last couple weeks

Anyway, I was able to get a short run in to check overall state with dwell reduction. Felt good overall.

Made some additional changes; pulled some WOT values, increased timing and fuel in a couple spots to try & level out the AFR's around 12.

H, wagon looks like it's moving properly fast now!

You should submit a couple pictures for this: http://www.speedhunters.com/2015/02/iamthespeedhunter-its-wagon-appreciation-time/

Agreed, you should absolutely enter your car in that!

Agreed. Hussein, put in for that... would be good to see a P80 chassis in that mix

Thanks, guys. I entered a submission today. Tried to keep it brief & to the point. Including a couple of my legal pad drawings ;)

EDIT: Definitely a glitch in the logging time on some pulls - it's can't believe it's possible for me to have 3sec 80-120 times. 60-100 is always around 4sec, so around 7 sec seems more likely. I'll set up my camcorder & get an alternative realtime video. The weather is not conducive for safe pulls at the mo, so as soon as possible.

Dude I just saw the post about you getting clipped, you alright dude? did the cocksucker even stop???

Yeah, I'm fine. The wife would have called the cops on him if I wasnt. He did stop, mostly seemed concerned that he wasn't in trouble vs. any actual concern that I might be injured. Since I had no injury, I didn't see any point in calling the popo & filing a report. Brushed my ankle/calf and hip with the front fender of his minivan. Couple inches over and it would have been a different outcome for sure.. I think in retrospect, I should have called the cops anyway, since he clearly wasn't paying attention to his driving. Anyway, no point dwelling on it, I'm OK.
