NEU
I know Michael Musto from /Big Muscle. He's up in H's neck of the woods. We went to school together and was in my roomates frat.
lookforjoe
Hit 26.9psi at part load, under 40% throttle. Later knock areas are in the same load ranges for the most part. Need to make sure there is no significant knock/lean areas before Monday. So, I added some more fueling in the part load ranges impacted, and increased WOT settings. lookforjoe
Way to go Hussein...many luck on the rollers. Mine is going tomorrow.. Good luck!
lookforjoe
27psi run this morning. Ran it up to 7650 in 4th. Not a perfectly linear pull due to track conditions, so there is some dropoff/pickup in the mix. Max airflow is now over 530g/s. On the dyno, I intend to run it to 8500 in 4th. At these levels, it seems to be happiest at 12AFR or a little richer, not what I would have planned. In area where it was 12.5 or a little above, that seems to be where the knock onset begins. Injector duty cycle still nice. No fuel volume issues anymore.
BlackT5
Awesome. Looking forward to seeing what she puts down. With the traction the awd provides, I'm so tempted to start modding my wagon.

With the traction the awd provides, I'm so tempted to start modding my wagon. Yes, no drama with traction or torque steer, esp with the Quaife up front. Still had some knock issues I have found - in part load areas when accelerating in 4th around 6K it was too lean. Had to fatten up the table & smooth adjacent columns. Hopefully my adjustments will resolve that. I don't know if I will be able to confirm it before Monday. It shouldn't be an issue on the dyno as the load will be much higher by that point. lookforjoe
It was a bust. Car ran much richer on the dyno - power dropped off over 6K w/ AFR's in the low 11's - high 10's. I don't have the charts from the dyno yet. Basically, it made 400AWHP @ 18 psi & every run after that got worse. We did some tweaking of the VE map initially, since the AFR's were so rich. Removed the baffles from the left muffler - it was causing a flow issue. Probably should have pulled the right one as well. LG header is cracked at the collector, but that doesn't seem to be a performance issue. Last two pulls had serious breakup around 5600rpm, so I called it quits. Swapped out the coil packs & then tried different plugs, no change. Turned out I increased the WOT cell to 1.8 instead of dropping it to 1.08 Hopefully that's all it was - won't know until tomorrow on that. I need to get some additional data logging parameters back (EBP, various temp sensors, etc.), so I can better evaluate what is going on up top before I go back to dyno again. A breakout box is in the works, to replace the Innovate Logging I used to use in conjunction with TTusb. So, it was quite a disappointment. Only thing I confirmed is that my OLED provides rock solid boost regulation all the way up, and that there is no fuel volume issue :D
Tightmopedman9
Was the problem that you were hitting different load cells than what you hit on the street?
Rod'sT-5
H, I am very impressed with what you've done with your car!! The attention to detail, and workmanship are second to none. You will get it figured out.
VulvaS40T4
Can you tune this ecu online with simulator? So that you can make online changes? This is one reason i changed to aftermarket ecu, because tuning is simple and fast.

Martijn_B
Ah that's too bad hussein, but I know all about dissapointment at the dyno It's always a good way to test your setup. There's air, fuel and a spark...so the rest is peanuts ;)
lookforjoe
Was the problem that you were hitting different load cells than what you hit on the street?Did not seem that way, but the revised tune definitely is too lean on the street. I have horrible stutter / breakup at part load now. I tried the richer tune, it made no difference.. Idle is erratic as well. It's been pouring rain, so I haven't swapped in new plugs AND different coil packs. I'll do a compression test - I hope I didn't inflict hardware damage. Plugs are uniform, so it's not like when I melted a piston land... Really feels like ignition breakup , since I've had that recently with the Bosch Coils from ARD, the "feel"'is pretty consistent with that. No CELs, but I didn't other times the coils were an issue Edit: headers are seriously cracked and leaking at the collector. That is an issue, but I don't believe it would cause the stutter/ breakup under load. Air filter is also undersized (see Martijns thread) but that would only restrict up top.
