boxpin
You Mr H., are so lucky to have a personal closed air strip to tune on. I often wondered about that.
lookforjoe
You Mr H., are so lucky to have a personal closed air strip to tune on. You're correct - seasonal use though - once the weather warms up, availability becomes spotty ;)
gdog
Aha! We've all wondered about that me thinks!
lookforjoe
Made more changes today - hit lower load cells in 1-2-3 pulls & little lean in some part load spots . Dropped timing just a touch in a few spots
lookforjoe
Did some lower gear pulls just to work on the lean areas that have arisen with the compound curve MAF table - found a few spots that were just not good. Fattened up the top three rows over 4600K & pulled a little timing here and there. then some more in the 3600 -4200 part load range AFR conversion - not sure it means much - I don't see those values in actual logging short lower speed pull, steep uphill in 3rd, didn't get into WOT before 60. Tweaked the timing in that knock area
lookforjoe
Finished clearing out the residual crap from my Innovate Logging hardware. Made a space for my new LogBox Provision for 16 channels input to TunerPro Dashboard setup Finally developed the dash creaking I've heard others complain of. I'll have to yank the dash when the weather warms to fix it. >Found the nice writeup on here.

Piet
I have that dash creaking too. I'am trying to find where it comes from for over a year now. Still couldn't find what's causing it. Didn't know that it's a common complaint. It sounds like it's coming from somewhere in the left corner.

Still couldn't find what's causing it. Didn't know that it's a common complaint. It sounds like it's coming from somewhere in the left corner. Take a look in the writeup I linked - the common failure is the 4 tabs that are part of the dash, accessed from under the wiper cowl. Sometimes the lower side screws just come loose - I had that - but mine has definitely progressed beyond that. I'm sure the stiffer suspension combined with the horrible road conditions in my neighbourhood over the past couple of years while the drainage and improvement plan has been in progress haven't helped. DId another short pull today before the blizzard comes in. They're expecting 1-2' of snow, maybe more. Added more fuel again, and reduced timing a smidge where the AFR's looked good, but knock was still present
Piet
Aha thanks! That must be it, don't know why I never thought of that, while I do have some experience in removing a dasboard; From to: But that's a whole other story. http://www.volvo850forum.nl/index.php/topic,63339.0.html (sorry for the hjjacking won't do it again, just couldn't resist ) Edited January 26, 2015 by Piet
Commander Riker
H, have any current video's of your car?
volvoguy23
Yeah I almost asked this other day, it would be cool to see like 2-3 gear pull, just the cluster if it's easier.. It's been a while I believe...

I'll have to check it out using Chrome. Very nice looking logging setup! Thank you - it's a bit of a PITA to setup the 'gauges'
lookforjoe
Run today - felt pretty flat. AFR's are down in the 11's with the last changes I made. No knock or pull, so, I'm going to try raising the timing values back up a touch instead of lowering the VE map values Highlights are the revised timing values
