RussB
96 850 T5, 3" downpipe, 2.5" cat-back, new Mustang race cat. Stock boost. New front O2 sensor. The little elbow on the intake manifold is intact. Spraying starting fluid shows no vacuum leaks... But that PO172 (bank 1 rich) code just keeps coming back. My car has just over 200k miles, and burns a quart of oil every 1500 or-so miles. I wonder if this is significant to throwing the PO172 code? did ya'll miss me?

You were gone? \ check every one of the hoses going to the intake tree and the carbon canister. They dont have to be obvious breaks to throw codes. I have physically checked every line to and from the canister...I actually took it down and inspected it. I also rmoved the cover over the fuel pump to look around. All evap lines are good. I have a set of Sstylin' Motors silicone hoses. They're all good. MAF...I rekon I'll spends the money and takes my chances :monkey:
