WhiteT5 Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 Alright, I've noticed several people looking for a good independent Volvo mechanic in their local area in the maintenance section. I think it would be greatly beneficial to have a sticky with names and contact info of Volvo mechanics in major metropolitan areas. I don't mean like dealers mechanics. I mean like independent shops or individuals that specialize in Volvo maintenance/repair. I know the sticky that has all of the online stores with Volvo stuff have helped a lot of us. I think this would as well. I know most of us are comfortable doing minor to moderate repairs/mods/maintenance, but there are just some things that are best left to experts (Rear main seal, etc.). This could also be a real money saver versus taking our cars to dealers that charge $85/hr for labor. Who thinks this would be a good idea???

Bay13 Posted November 27, 2004 Report Posted November 27, 2004 Topic started in the FWD maintenance section, it's pinned at the top. :)
drPheta Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 Is there any way to organize the shops by state/city/area? It'd be a real PITA to see one shop in a state be mentioned, but then another shop in that same state that is closer or cheaper missed because it's located later in the thread. It's hard to read through all of it and see the relevent info clearly.
