DevolvR Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 So about 2 weeks ago, I ran into an unbeatable local deal to buy 17" Pegasus Rims with some nice tires, which costed about $650 US for the whole deal. I grabbed the deal anyway since the tires had very good tread on them about 8/32" tread on 1 year old tires. The rims were in mediocre to bad condition as best with lots of curb rash on the wheels. I then found out that the tires were 235/40/17 which is slightly too large, I put them on craigslist and actually sold them for close to $450! So in other words, I got the Pegs for $200! Not being completely satisfied, I took that cash and consulted a local Rim repair shop to see what can be done to them. Anyway here are the pictures of the Pegs before they were machined and repainted. I thought it was money put to good use to repair a set of Pegs better than it will ever be, infact one of a kind! I 've seen VW GTi's with Rims with a machined front and blacked out sides, and the 18" Atreus on the C30s. With the angular design of the Pegs, I definately thought it would work! BEFORE: I apologize for the bad pictures, but you know how rashed up Pegs look like. AFTER: Pictures are from today, so no daylight. I'll be taking some more pictures in the morning :D
DevolvR Posted November 21, 2009 Author Report Posted November 21, 2009 How come I can't edit the post, would like to have the pictures lined up instead of vertically placed.
JVC Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 what uhh... did you do? I can tell theres a difference but not sure what happened... might be the whiskey talking but I have no idea what was done to them to make them look different. And you cant edit posts because you're not a supporting member.
Canadianplat855 Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 That looks amazing. Great idea.
DevolvR Posted November 21, 2009 Author Report Posted November 21, 2009 Ok, I admit, those pictures sucked. So I kind of got too excited tonight and took these pictures in the garage. I tried taking some more pictures just now of them with the flash, a lot of glare caused by the clearcoat and dust though. I need to take pictures again tomorrow of them with it on the car... Can't wait.
MrTopher Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 awesome, love the idea - can't wait to see pictures in the daylight.
Jesus Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 Eagerly anticipating higher quality visual representations of what these actually look like. Intriguing concept.
