BtownVolvo
And is now guaranteed not to have any afters. It should be reversed, really. But for the trigger man, if he thinks it's okay to take a life, then he shouldn't mind us taking his. Letting him go would be stupid, and letting him live in prison for free while I pay for it is even more stupid, IMO.

Pops Racer
I'm gonna defend Huckabee on this one. CNN spent ten minutes trying to hang him, with no reference to the other 20 yrs of this guys career in crime. He just commuted the sentence of a teenager, which means the guys sentence was reduced to 47 yrs. He didn't let the guy out that would be clemency or a pardon. That was parole board and others. Jump ahead to when the POS was in Washington, that lovely part of the country that regularly lets violent folks free in the name of hippie humanity. The guy had 8 FELONY arrests and 2 judges set the douche free. He committed rape on a 14 yr old, in Washington, and made $15,000 bail. All he had to do was give the bondsmen $1500 and he was free. He thought a teenager could be rehabbed, but the liberal courts dropped the ball. 1% bad on Huckabee. 99% bad on 2 douche judges and the NWC judicial system. Oregon and Washington should join Vermont and form their own country. It could be like a child rapist commune or penal colony (no pun intended), where their civil rights and freedoms can be protected. They're not bad people they just do bad things. I shouldn't talk tho. A convicted rapist and murderer, Ross, had to ASK to be executed here in CT. I'm still on the fence about capital. I used to want to hang 'em all. Then I started trying to resolve my conflict with my beliefs about abortion. Maybe it's hypocritical. I'm still not sure. These cases drag on for decades, rehashing and forcing the families to relive the horror and pain. Appeals cost a tons of money, and you end up paying for the scums lawyer. And DNA science has shown that a sure thing is not always a sure thing. I guess there are some REAL open and shut cases like this guy. Hmmm... 45 cal to the head. NO, one to each kneecap, one in the ass, then one in the head. 4 caps for 4 humans. 2
merlin390
The only reason some people are alive because it's illegal to kill them. Bring back public executions (hanging, firing squads, etc.)
Chilled man
it was enjoyable considering the 445 some people that have been freed due to DNA is how small of the prision popluation .... As of year-end 2007, a record 7.2 million people were behind bars, on probation, or on parole, with 2.3 million of those actually incarcerated.[7] More than 1 in 100 American adults were incarcerated at the start of 2008. The People's Republic of China ranks second with 1.5 million, while having four times the population, thus having only about 18% of the US incarceration rate.[8][9] wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Incarceration_in_the_United_States Peronsally I will take the chance with the imperfect system and start using more exacutions. And instead of what ever retarded amount of time cut it to 5 years , thats it after 5 years your dead, regardless whats going on I dont care , guard walks in pulls out the shotty and unloads the slugs in your ass. And fuck fuckupabee that is not the only pyscho that wanker let free that ended up killing people and serioulsy if you fuck up that bad before 18 and get that much time dont you think your ass should stay in jail for that full amount Simpley persons body let them do what they want , if they want to stick a aids infested cock in there ass and I think its wrong but thats bigoted but let a chick , wack the baby shouldnt be having to save the world of extra kids / humans we sure as hell dont need ... thats not ok Its either let them do what ever they want or follow the oringal law to a T none of this half ass BS
brick-a-brac
Peronsally I will take the chance with the imperfect system and start using more exacutions. You might feel differently if you were the person on the other end of the electrode and you actually did not commit the crime that put you there. But hey, if you're in prison, you must have done something to get there, right? No one goes to prison because they had a lousy public defender. Not here. I'll give you three words to explain our absurdly high incarceration rate: mandatory minimum sentencing. For those in California, I can sum it up in two: three strikes.
Chilled man
I am all in agreence with the three strikes rule REPEAT OFFENDER / deathpenalty They should make it the three strikes your shot in the head rule That would clear up Cali and then cali could sell all the cadavers to hospitals around the world. Shit look I solved there prision overpopluation problem and there budget problem at once. JUSTIN FOR PRESIDENT WOOOOHOOOO  1
DonutsDemise
interesting thread, i am against the death penalty for a lot of reasons but the original post makes sense. this guy was guilty without a doubt. i think a good first step towards a national moratorium though would be to change the rule that says "beyond a reasonable doubt." why not change it to "beyond a shadow of a doubt" at least in death penalty cases? They deserved the death penalty (but I would have rather seen them rot in supermax). I lived outside DC when the sniper was going around and had late hockey practices after which I used to fill up with cheap gas out in the boonies and lie down in my car while it was pumping. I know it was one in a couple million to be shot but I didn't want to die just because I wanted to save 25 cents a gallon on gas.
Pops Racer
Cali has many illegal aliens in jail, gangbangers. Costing tax payers half a billion a year. They won't execute a single person. Ever. Non violent drug offenses are prevalent, big piece of the numbers you talk about, 3 strikes and mandatory minimums for many of those. DNA testing is freeing many convicted wrongly. I'd like to see the numbers of incarcerated scum bags wrongly convicted. I bet many needed/ should be in the slam any way
Spanky
LOL at the stupid hippies . Personally I think they should use the death penalty for even less crimes. Would be a way to clean out the prision system and save some money . Convicted , shot out side the court house 20 min later They should also lock up that douche Huckabee also Oh it happened when he was a kid his 108 year prision sentance shouldnt be done dumbass . You better watch out, they will be making laws against perverts next ;)
