mdlimy
Is it possible to use a distributor cap with the newer head? Also, is there a way to modify a newer type inlet manifold with use of an normal inlet(mechanical)? In short I need: <99 head Block plate for solenoid Headgasket <99 head Modified Camshaft sensor NA inlet cam/Turbo exhaust cam Inlet manifold Upper engine mount That's it? htownturbobrick used a distributor on his 00 R motor in his s70. If you are using a 99-00 head I'm pretty sure you just need to modify the rear of the intake cam for the distributor. I'm not sure about swapping the cams entirely or if thy mount up on the newer heads. I'm not sure you need to modify the cam sensor, I don't think Aaron mentioned anything like that. Also, the new style manifolds suck. It's pretty easy to find the older style for almost nothing anyway. Edit: You have no sig. I can only assume that you're swapping into an x70. nickk.
Mean the old manifold to the newer '99 ETM manifold. Best should be an <2001 and later head, but I dont know of they will work with old style ignition(distributor cap). Sign is not important. Has build an underblock already, but with a little luck I can sell it for a good price, so I can start over with a newer type crankshaft, all balanced with flywheel to use with higer RPM with new type head. Sorry. Old = -98. New = 99+ And no, you wouldn't want to put a '99+ manifold on a 4.3/4.4 car.
