sconeman
C70 only used the B5234T3 up to '02, according to the VADIS I have. Cams for that are 9458202 intake 9458203 exhaust - same as the lower output B5204T3. Maybe the C70 was detuned compared to other models? uh bummer deal if so. since my engine came out a 02 C70.. I'll try to find some part numbers when I get to the cams

I'll try to find some part numbers when I get to the cams Coupe or Vert? Mine was from a coupe, and the PN stamped on my intake cam disagrees with what VADIS says I should have. It's actually 6900044

I used a dremel & limited bits as well I just took at least 5-6 hours to do them all carefully. Did you take any pics of how you finished it - those really looked bad... lookforjoe
Many thanks to Volvo5.0 for the brackets that arrived this evening! I cleaned them up & shaved down the upper section to match the early style width of 1 3/8" notched the lower section for the cam sensor harness cut off the TB/IAC/thottle bobbin flange from a turbo intake cut off the plenum of a ME7 turbo manifold from Justin it really is a piddly little thing... Not sure what if anything I'm going to do with it. My NA intake should be here Monday, then I'll get that cut down, etc.

Thanks, Ben It does after you counter-bore the end of the cam to accept the sensor reference plate.
lookforjoe
Did some clean up on the valve end of the intake ports - there is a lip created by the valve seat land that can be removed, and general clean up of the casting. Still needs refining, but I'm not looking for mirror finish.

lookforjoe
What do you mean by seat land creating a lip? The valve seat is pressed to the landing milled for it in the head - that landing is slightly smaller ID than the valve seat, therefore there is a lip, that can be removed. lookforjoe
Some more pics of the ports - very hard to photograph in low light intake got pretty much all the casting lines out, smoothed. exhaust - the valve guide surround could be cut back a little more - but I don't want to run the risk of creating a potential weak spot & drop a valve guide - I'd rather be conservative since really I'm just cleaning up what's there. 2 ports added for breather, baffle welded inside just gonna use the forward one, the back is just insurance VVT blanks
