There's no pressure to worry about anyway, with the new tank This is what I drained from the catch can after two weeks running 22+psi- mostly water - a small amount of oil residue Decided to take a little out of the exhaust valve guide lump... before after Intakes are all done - nice wide straight shot! mdlimy
Robbie - I thought you already had a setup like this? Nope, just running the stock pcv system venting to atmosphere, but I'm currently only running a 16t on low boost breaking in the motor, I will be using a breather system similar to yours tho, just need to get going on it, just not high priority till I get my big turbo on it. Head looks great! Any pics of the baffels behind the bungs that were added?

I'll take a pic of the baffle - it's just a piece of aluminum plate cut/welded to fit in, with clearance for the cam lobes, of course.

Wagoneer855
holset, larger than yours trying to keep it on the low down Could have bought my HX40 I had a while back. But a diesel buddy of mine took it off my hands for more than I paid for it so I can't complain. I figured it was easier than searching for a smaller hotside side and a proper wastegate. I better install one of these turbos soon instead of buying them and selling them for something else I think I found the one I'm going to run soon! Great thread Hussein! I'm waiting until you get everything finished to see whether or not I'm going to get my original head majorly worked over or just search for a newer head, thanks for being the guinea pig :)

IMO, cheaper to pay $200 for a late head & have it cleaned up like I'm doing.

The guy who is doing my build said the head work wouldn't be much - what his definition of not much is I'm not sure as he mostly does race engines for sponsored teams - I was hoping cheaper than sourcing a late head. But solid would be nice as I'm hoping to have a rev limiter around ~7500. Another side question, are 2.5 R heads better than normal 2.5T heads? I know of a crashed S60R, so maybe I'll inquire about getting the head off the engine if it's still available.

If I had the choice, I'd have gone for that instead for sure. EDIT: Don't forget, you also need all the plastic engine covers, and the torque mount complete, if you are going to check into it

Engine covers shouldn't be a problem and same with torque mounts. The torque mounts are the same as single VVT heads are they not?

The torque mounts are the same as single VVT heads are they not? Referring to the listings in Ozzimark's Thread, the difference in the dual VVT head application is either LPT or HPT in the R & T5. Based on that, the LPT's all get one intake cam, the HPT's get another. Exhaust cams are the same across the board. Head gaskets are also different, depending on application. I went with the B5234T3/B5244T5 head gasket. In terms of all the covers/mounts, if you already have all that stuff from a 99-, then you should be good to go. Wagoneer855
I already have an S60R HG. I assume the intake cams in the LPT Duel VVT are more aggressive?
ozzimark
Not certain, but it appears that way. We won't know for sure until someone measures up the duration on the cams. Hussein, can you have your machinist check your cams out? Also, not to be a dick, but it's dual. Duel is what you do with guns or knives.
