Account_Deleted_T5M Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 My buddy has a turboed civic coupe d16 y8 at 12lbs on a 14b DSM turbo which is max what those motors can hold, which yields 210-220whp depending on condition of motor. Car weighs in at 2335lbs, mine weighs in at 36xx. We ran from a dig twice on a closed road. 1st race I got him by 3 cars, 2nd race i got him by 5 cars. Pretty sweet little car he has, its clean on rota slips. I have a video but its on facebook not youtube yet. I kept having to baby it through 1st and 2nd but still held the lead you can hear it in the video Facebook link

L8 APEKS Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 Your car is only 36XX lbs if you have 2 ppl in it...curb weight on a '98 T5M S70 is 3250 or so. But still, fun race! Brings me back to the good ol' days of "rice rocketeering".
magicaljake Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 turbo civcs can be deadly nice rob
Account_Deleted_T5M Posted February 1, 2010 Author Report Posted February 1, 2010 Ah, gotcha. Is it a 4 or 6 puck clutch? Its a 6-puck unsprung, the only option they had for me was a 6-puck unsprung or a full-face disc.

turbor850 Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 nice run the only turbo import I ran was a H22 Accord with a 60-1 turbo @ 10-12 psi
Account_Deleted_T5M Posted February 2, 2010 Author Report Posted February 2, 2010 Not the ebay turbo ones.... Cheap ebay t3/t4 turbo B16's are still painfully slow...ask me how i know. Depends, theres a turbo bubble here running an ebay 50 trim making 410whp and it hauls ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD. Think its time for a rebuild i think i popped the headgasket, signs of problems 1) Slight oily sheen in coolant resevoir 2) Hard starts, it sputters to life 3) Car wont heat up properly, not stuck thermostat There's no milkiness in the oil though :o
