Battery Cranking Power...

Everyone always talks about Cold Crank Amps when discussing replacement batteries. I know very little about batteris but I do know that none of my Volvos has ever taken more than a a crank or two to fire up, even in freezing whether. Even when I have cranked up a Volvo that has sat for over a year it didn't take more than about 10-15 cranks to fire it up.

So here are my questions:

What kind of car do you have?

Where do you live? (this will take the weather into effect)

How easy is it to start your Volvo on the coldest of winter days?

How long did your last battery live for?

Since I end up replacing my batteries about every 4 years, no matter what the CCAs I tend to go with the cheapest thing that will fit. Warranties are bunk since they prorate anyways and often times require you to buy the new battery and have it installed by them.

If people are getting much longer battery lives out of the more expensive and higher CCA batteries I want to know because maybe I will switch over.

Sorry, I guess I don't know how to post this as a poll. Does someone want to clue me in so I can clean it up and add the "poll" feature?
