I require updates!

I love this 960 you are really inspiring me

I owned a '94 960 Wagon that I crashed into a wall :( http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/index.php/topic/135792-has-a-volvo-ever-saved-your-life/page__p__1814880__fromsearch__1#entry1814880

I have been itching to get a hold of another 960 for some time

seeing this car makes it all the worse..(in a good way) :)

Great job..keep it up!

good job!

the only point I really do not understand is how and why you cut your springs...

I've done that on a 1995 Ford Fiesta (when I was 18 :D ) and the moment I tried the car I really was disappointed and ran to buy good lowering springs...

Didn't you lose confort? stability? does the car bounce on any bump?¿

Did you have to stretch the sides (or wings) of the S70 bumper to line up with the 960 bumper? They look like they were different widths.

No front bumper lines up with the standard wings, no mods need to be made.

loving this .. I miss my ol' 960.. was definitely one of my fav's... I'm thinking now with the black grille, take those headlights apart and paint the bezels black too.. another cheap mod seeing as you seem to be quite handy with the paint ..

Yeah, that is another mod that I'm planning on at some point but being as I'm not sure how to separate the glass from the plastic I need to read up a little first.

Must admit that the handling isn't great, it's a little like driving a boat at the moment. I have some 850 T5 front struts to put on but as I apparently need some spacers to adapt them to the 960 top mounts they're still waiting to go on, rears are also going to be getting coilovers at some point when money allows.

oh man all I want is an update!

No real updates yet as I have no spare time or cash at the moment. Much more to come when the weather improves as I will start some more paintwork (sills need doing and rear bumpe). I have parts to make my own exhaust system but I need to get a few more parts before I have a go at it.

Ok, major update.. But not in a good way.

Got side swiped on Monday by some arsehole in a BMW, damaged rear quarter and both doors down one side. Insurance is coming to estimate it sometime In the next few weeks, this may spell the end for it due to it's age.

Insurance assesor is coming having a look Tuesday, should know something next week....keep your fingers crossed.

On the bad side, I'd booked a few days off next week to get some more work done on it and now I can't start anything just incase they do write it off.

Ok, insurance have deemed it a write off, not sure what category yet but either way the project may well be dead. Now just waiting for them to get back to me with a better offer than the £800 they tried to give me today. Replacement car is coming Monday and will be an 850R, has a poorly engine at the moment but hopefully it's nothing too drastic.
