Mesoam
rather have a smaller turbo with good response than something with lag...350whp 370wtq on a focus ST w/ 2871...plenty for a fwd car that can barely stuff 225's
Smiles855R
George (Zappo) went from a gt3076 to at gtx2867r. Well, I ordered a .63 a/r hotside for the 3076, but I am not sure that is what I got. The engine came with a .82, but the new housing came with the .63 markings covered up. I swapped it in, but I don't think it made any difference. I ordered a GTX2867R with a .63 a/r. I will swap over the internal wastegate stuff and it should be a direct bolt in. The GT3076R is fun at 4000 RPM, but I need boost much lower for my current needs. At best I have 4-5 psi at 3k with it and it doesn't really start to climb up until after 3500. I would like to have at least 10 psi by 3k.
Johann
Yes you all have a point but the thing is that when running a GT2871 at moderate to medium boost levels it won't do better than a K24 which as I understand is currently being used. A 3076 will respond slower or lazier compared to a 3071 (T3 A/R .63) btw. A 3071 should give good spool near 3K rpm.
ErikS
So, I have been running TMM9's base tune to break in the engine, limited to 8-10 psi but still fun in the mid range. I'm at 400 miles so oil change and time to tune is coming soon. Had a TPS sensor issue now resolved, but we are trying to find a leak that is throwing off the LTFT. Trying to get the car to as close to perfect mechanically before tuning, fixing the interior, and painting (or wrapping.) Test fit of the Tomcat lip, and some carbon fiber vinyl wrap on the roof to cover oxidation (temporary.) T5R spoiler is off, I like the clean back end. Still need to find the right wheels. Want 5 spoke lightweight, hard to find.
Timbo Slice
Although they're likely not lightweight, I've always wanted to see a set of OEM Ixion's on an 850 sedan. What size are you looking to run? Edit: Sending you a PM.

ErikS
Got the roof wrapped in grey carbon vinyl as the clear coat was starting to oxidize. Ordered new roof trim (side rails X 2 and windshield/roof connection) as it fell apart upon installation of the wrap. This is the third pair of roof trim on the car. Does not like the Houston sun/heat, they seem to last around ten years here. Issues with fueling WOT. Target set to ~ 11:1 at WOT per Aaron's TMM9 tuning. I see 13.0 and it climbs from 2nd-4th into leaner conditions from my looking at the wide band - data logs showed the same. Brand new OEM FPR and 340 lph fuel pump going in hoping the original FPR was going out and to solve this issue. I do still have the stock fuel lines and a 4.3 rail (original.) Commander Riker
Any plans for this weekend? I'm dying to see this car in person.
Kit Vexed
Looks good, but judging by the gold calipers and engine bay stickers you own a hookah and are likely metro.

ErikS
New wheels are on the car, first time in like 8 years. They are OZ Formula HLT's and are 19 lbs, I can feel a big difference from the 26 lb pegs. It took 10 mm spacers in the front and 5 mm in the back to get them to clear the BBK, plus grinding down all the H&R extended lug bolts (+ 10mm in the rear, +15mm in the front) as they were too wide to fit into the wheels Tuning is progressing, still some small revisions to be made. Aaron is doing a good job communicating. I'd put it somewhere around 300 - 320 wheel hp. Some potato pics as it just got a wash and wax. What say you VS?
