NWS

Sad to see, graphic

You've been warned

My thoughts...

Why did the cop not shoot first? I can't find much detail on it other than the video

As tragic as that is, the officer didn't have control of the situation from the get-go. He should have maced the fucker as soon as he approached the officer, followed by a take-down and tazer if necessary.

Ok, mistake number one.

So, he doesn't do that, and after ignoring the officers direction COMPLETELY, he retreats to the vehicle and is clearly fetching something. At this point, open fire.

Dont know if tazers were that big back in 98, but agreed, he should of had the guy on the ground the second he got in his face. He was only 22, so you could chalk up some of that to inexperience...

Terrible anyway you look at it.

Second time he didnt stay away I would of unloaded on the fucking peice of shit .

Put it this when I become a cop I wont say anything a second time ;) you will be dead.

Also .... http://www.usmarshals.gov/ new job just applied for

But seriously after he said put the gun down the first time why he didnt shoot him is beyond me ?

Its not like he had it on him and forgot he went to the car to get it . 100% purely legal to fill him full of lead.

so many things i want to say. dont really know where to start. I wish officers showed such restraint in situations that are very minor that do not involve weapons. But this takes the cake, and btw it almost forces officers to act aggressively when conducting stops. Scares the shit out of me! no body will understand what goes through a persons mind each and every time your stop someone. My nightmare is losing control, a fight for your life, that loss of control makes you want to just give up, the final yell/plea when you have lost it and you realized your control is gone is the most frightening.

And that's why there needs to be training, training, training. That officer had absolutely no control of the situation and didn't follow proper protocol. I felt sick to my stomach watching that. Hearing a man die because he was afraid to take the life of a sack of shit. His weapon should have been drawn way earlier and his shots should have been center body mass and taken from proper cover. That guy should be dead, not the other way around.
