Kraske
OMG MUST HAVE!!! http://seattle.craig...2866819024.html Hehe, you saw those too. If they were like $300 I might jump on them. In other news, a friend's whiteblock was clacking away and having some issues. Compression as follows: 140 125 155 115 150 In my book that's a lot of deviation but I was told it's acceptable. Oil pickup o-rings are good, is something else busted real bad?
Austin H
Burning oil at all?
Kraske
Nope. It sounds like it's tearing itself apart but the timing is good and the compression isn't that bad. Nothing really odd with the engine oil except some pieces of the oil level sender that fell apart.
Austin H
The compression sucks on 2 and 4. I would think rings but you say it isn't burning anything. Oh pieces of oil level senders aren't supposed to be in there btw lol I do wish I had an oil level gauge though. Just low oil pressure that's it :/
Kraske
The wet comp is: 195 183 215 215 205 So something may definitely be wrong with #2. Doesn't burn anything noticeable anyway...I'd say rings are messed on 4 though.

Mossback
New engine time. Looking at an 01 C70 being parted, there's supposed to be a low mileage 99+ 2.3 in it. I can see what he wants for the engine
Kraske
That would be cool. Let me know what he wants and I'll see if my friend is interested.

Its a complete T5, How much of it does he want? (probably a 16T angle flange on it) I have no idea what it's worth but the seller was happy someone was interested. $500 ? $800 ?? Kraske
Dunno, I'll check. Will an 850 turbo DP fit the 16T?
Mossback
Dunno, I'll check. Will an 850 turbo DP fit the 16T? You would want the DP (and cat?) from the C70. I can probably get that included.
RZT5
Or you can swap the exhaust housings. I don't recommend this though, you'll lose the benefit of the newer angled flange exhaust housing.
