I'm more curious that you're recommending people not take it, but you're still putting them down? you must feel the negatives outweigh the acne?

Well I'm already kinda deep in and 50-70% of what I've heard says in the end, it'll be great. So I'm going through with it. I deem the end results to be more important than the negatives right now. But still, I'd tell other to exhaust all other options before doing this.

try cutting out all white bread... go onto wiki and look up accutane and follow the links. Hop it helps.

Alrighty thanks. Going to my doc today so I'll ask her.

Even if we're going to believe glyc. index foods are the problem, simply removing white bread when he might also eat a lot of rice, cereal, donuts, and other breads means it isn't going to do shit for him.

No cereal (because I'm staying away from milk), no donuts (don't need the extra weight), and rice once every 2-3 weeks with a curry. I can cut the rice out obviously. The bread is tough cause I have sandwiches on white bread nearly every day. Would changing to wheat help you think?

well, based on his recommendation, yes. Lower glycemic index. You can look up the data on all foods to get the index value for each. I'm arguing that if you want to try a lower GI diet, you can't just "simply cut white bread", you need to pay attention to your entire diet because there's probably more things with a high GI than just white bread. I personally love white bread, but weight-wise, a lot of people prefer to switch to wheat breads because it leaves them feeling fuller-for-longer (and some other alleged stuff like the lower GI preventing blood sugar spikes).

However, I personally don't believe its going to do jack for you. But considering it looks like you already don't eat a lot of the high GI foods, might not be hard to try. Though if you continue with the accutane, we'll never know which helped. And I'd be inclined to point to the accutane.

I really appreciate the help. I think I'll switch to wheat just in case as an addition. At that point, I'll be good.

Wheat is better for you anyways (buy the good stuff) and switch to brown rice.

Good to know. Parents just always got white so when I moved out, I didn't know any different. Like you said...the more you know :)

Ok boys and girls - looking to see what interest there maybe in this - not for sure but if the right deal comes along then it will be.

Looking to trade my wife's '97 855 R for a V70 R (98-00). Looking for a clean, stock R wagon, has to have black interior, a 3rd seat would be nice but if not I will take the seat 3rd seat out of the '97. Prefer boring colors, black, silver etc... I would consider a V70 T-5 manual but really looking for an R. Let me know if you, or someone you know would be interested.

If you don't know my wife's wagon the quick run down is:

'97 855 R

Around 187K (I think, car is at work with my wife right not)

"New" engine installed around 120K, engine has 40K less on it then the body

Red/black

M56H

Volans that are perfect except 1 scratch on 1 wheel from mounting tires

KWs

OEM strut brace

'95 manual transmission ECU tune that works just fine (passed WA State emissions 2x with no problems)

The list goes on but it is our family car, maintained to be reliable as it is driven by my wife with our 2 kids...

Like I said, if interested let me know or PM me :)

Oh - and it was the car they used to model the wagon in Forza 4 after
